KNOWLEDGE BOMBS
23:22 – Getting ranking one in Google
According to Dori, he ranks first in Google by using her network SEO nitro.com
38:49 – Victoria Altman’s Approach or Jesper Nessen’s
Although both are similar and valid in being cloud-based systems, and so are PBN, they are not because Altman only sends links to gain authority while both are built upon their sites.
39:50 – Steps to setting up PBNs
First, buy an expired domain, as they often already have backlinks pointing to them. Use different names, phone numbers, and email addresses during the registration. The second is to get Hosting, where your website files are stored and served. Using different hosting providers with distinct C block IPs makes it harder for search engines to detect that all these websites belong to the same owner.
Further suggestions are made to boost authority and credibility, such as using WordPress, regularly adding content to the PBN sites, paying for traffic (clicks), using bots, and ranking the PBN site for specific keywords.
43:30 – Criteria for a Right Domain
“Trust flow” is the most reliable metric for evaluating a website’s quality, specifically for the URL (web page) rather than the root domain.
Focusing on metrics like DR (Domain Rating) or DA (Domain Authority) is advised, as they don’t equate to trust flow. Look for URLs with a trust flow of 20 or higher, regardless of the number of backlinks or referring domains, as trust flow matters more than quantity.
45:39 – Specialised Hosting
Dori suggests going directly to pbn.hosting as it is a nightmare to handle said hosting.
46:23 – Maintenance and management of sites
Dori discusses their approach to managing updates and posting across their network of websites. They use a tool called “main WP” for updating plugins or making changes across all sites simultaneously. They also have a system for managing posting and links, which they call “DCL campaigns” (Domain Dynamically Linked Controlled Campaigns), for which they hold a patent. This system allows for the dynamic management of links, including using someone else’s link profile. Dori further hints at the potential for offering this service to others but has yet to promote it. Dori invite anyone interested to contact them for more information.
57:06 – internal linking in PBN
The speaker discusses vital aspects of SEO, primarily focusing on private blog networks (PBNs) and link strategies. Dori emphasizes the importance of internal linking within PBNs and advises using multiple keywords when linking out to the same site while avoiding repetitive anchor text. On-page SEO is highlighted, focusing on keyword placement in titles and URLs, disregarding the domain’s overall topic. Dori underscores the significance of content optimization by incorporating various related terms and recommends strategic link placement, particularly in the first paragraph. These insights offer a glimpse into effective SEO practices, balancing internal structure, content relevance, and link strategies.
59:49 – Linking yourself
Dori discusses the practice of including a link within a blog post that points back to the page where it’s located. This may seem unusual, but they assert that it is effective. They mention that they have tested this approach and found positive results. While they don’t delve into why it works, they highlight that it has been a successful strategy in their experience, even though it might seem counterintuitive at first glance.
1:01:24 – Domain for Money Site
Dori again highlights that expired domains come with existing backlinks, which means they already have authority and power. This is preferred over starting with a completely new website. Dori even recalls that in the past, they had a seven-step SEO strategy where buying an expired domain for the money site was the very first and crucial step.
1:02:40 – the roles of PBN
Dori states that as long as links are in favor, PBNs will exist. But future-wise, it is unpredictable.
1:06:46 – Advice for future SEO professionals
Dori’s advise is to do it; don’t worry, we all make mistakes, and find a mentor.
GOOGLE NEWS
As of September 13, Google Search no longer shows How-to rich results on desktop, which means this result type is now deprecated.
This change will be visible in the metrics for the How-to search appearance in the performance report and the number of impressions reported in the How-to enhancement reports.
Google also completed the August 2023 core update this past week.

What are your thoughts on the Search Rater Guidelines?
International SEO: Localization
While I managed Global SEO for Workday, localization can be a heavy lift.
I recommend picking a set of topics to rank five at most for each region at the beginning of the year.
That way, you can create a localization plan for top-ranking blogs, make topical authority, and rank for 100 keywords, as competition is usually more accessible in other regions.
